The concept originated with Bruno Brunel, who, in 2023, designed, studied, tested, and developed the anti-waste suspended feeder under real-world conditions on his ornamental poultry farm.
The Altéa feeder allows you to feed your chickens, poultry, or game birds cleanly while limiting feed waste. Its design keeps the feed in the feeding area, reduces waste, and makes coop maintenance easier.
Suitable for chickens, poultry, and game birds (pheasants, partridges, etc.), it is designed for outdoor use and manufactured in France in our factory.

📏 Recommended installation height
For a so-called laying hen , we recommend installing the feeder at an average height of: 38 to 45 cm from the ground to the bottom of the feeder (to be adjusted according to the size of the animal)
This height corresponds to the standard morphology of an adult laying hen and allows for:
- natural and comfortable access to food
- optimal posture while pecking
Good to know: The height must be adjusted according to the breed and size of the poultry or game.

At EVENA, we recommend 1 feeder for a maximum of 6 to 7 chickens , to ensure comfortable access to food and limit competition.
Recommended capacity for one week's consumption
- 3 kg feeder (H 50cm) → ideal for 2 to 3 chickens
- 5 kg feeder (H 80cm) → ideal for 4 to 5 chickens
- 7 kg feeder (H 110cm) → ideal for 6 to 7 chickens
These recommendations are based on average weekly consumption .
